What Are The Sources Of Income Of An Independent Antivirus Testing Organization

We all know there are so many antivirus and other security testing organization who were saying itself as an Independent testing organization. Some of them are supporting a particular security software. I looked through some websites saying they are independent testing organization. But I saw something different in their site. That is they are providing a discount coupon for the No.1 ranked security software which is come out from their independent test results. From this it is clear that they are the sponsors of that security software. So that they will get a commission from the security software provider.
But some testing organization doesn't give any coupon or promotion but will reveal some test result saying that Some threat blocked, some blocked, removed threats, blocked attacks etc. But they are not willing to reveal how they are tested and the samples used for their "Independent Tests". And they are not providing any Video about their tests, even a screenshot of test procedure. But they can provide some test results. Everyone can provide a test result without any evidence. Even you can... :-).

This post is to discuss about the sources of income of an antivirus testing organization. Many of you know that to get a domain and maintenance of a website, it requires money in every month. But without providing any kind of ads(like adsense) in their website, how they are maintain their site.
So they are targeting the antivirus providers. Yes who knows the black hands of these "Independent testing organizations. So beware friends these antivirus testing organization is cheating you. The people who were working in all Antivirus soft-wares are having more knowledge than this Independent testing organization. But still they are providing 3rd party certificates in their websites. Actually who is cheating.....? Think and react with your comments and the walls of your antivirus in Facebook.

  1. This is really all just speculation, and is without merit. A website really isn't all that expensive, and while there may be some small, unknown websites who are just trying to push a product for their own profits, that is not the case with the recognized and trusted independent organizations.

There are plenty of ways to raise enough money to support a website. You can accept anonymous donations, run a fundraiser, have corporate sponsors which are not in the anti-virus industry, etc. You don't really seem to have performed any research on the subject, you're just presenting possibilities, and then making a baseless accusation about the "black hands" of these organizations, based simply on the observation that they don't have ads on their website.

You were very ambiguous in the wording of your post. When you say that some "independent" organizations are obviously trying to push a product, you don't really specify which organizations you are accusing, or even if it's just some guy with a website or a YouTube video, or if it's one of the recognized and established organizations that you're accusing. It's hard to take you seriously when you are so generalized in your reporting. If you have confidence in the information you're sharing with us, then back it up with the evidence that brought you to this point of view.

  2. I read your comment. But do you know exactly why they are doing these kind of testing job by wasting their time. I am not targeting a particular one. Everybody is like this. I have said this because I have evidence from an antivirus company. You are always thinking that I am a fool and writing foolish things. Sometimes truth will not be accepted by everybody.
You are selected as a VIP on AVG so you will always with AVG. But I didn’t say about AVG except they are providing 3rd party license. It is OK, because a word of Antivirus provider cannot be trusted by a user. So they accept the words of Testing organizations. So to verify their product they are Giving money to testing organization and these are they sources of income of AV-Comparatives.org. Do you have any other idea about this?
